As summer vacation approaches, let safety walk by your side! To ensure that every student remains secure and peaceful during the holiday and while staying on campus, the Campus Security Center has specially compiled the following key protection guidelines. Let’s raise our awareness together and say no to danger:
1.Strict Campus Access Control: Report Suspicious Behavior Immediately The school has comprehensively strengthened its access control systems, increased surveillance cameras, and installed emergency distress buttons. Students should reduce their use of isolated and dark corners. If you encounter any stranger or suspicious person on campus, please report it to the Campus Security Center immediately to help eliminate any lapses in security.
2.Off-Campus Housing & Outing Safety: Stay Calm and Protect Yourself Whether you are staying in a dormitory, renting off-campus housing, or going out for holidays, please keep these safety steps firmly in mind:
(1) Mind the Doors, Windows, and Dark Alleys: For students renting off-campus, please double-check the security of your door locks and windows. When walking through isolated or dimly lit alleys, remain vigilant against being stalked or followed by unidentified individuals. It is highly recommended to carry personal protection items like a whistle with you at all times for emergencies.
(2) Call for Help Immediately If Stalked: If you notice someone following or tailing you, call 110 for police assistance immediately. Rapidly run toward crowded areas or the nearest convenience store, and shout loudly to draw the attention of others.
3.Traps in Online Dating: Watch Your Social Media Comments and Stay Out of Legal Trouble The virtual world is riddled with traps. Students must remain rational and learn to recognize gender-related traps in online interactions. Never blindly trust netizens you have never met in person, and do not send private or intimate photos to prevent falling victim to online sexual assault or harassment. At the same time, everyone is reminded that comments posted on social media platforms are subject to legal regulations. Please maintain friendly and respectful interactions, and do not commit online sexual harassment or cyberbullying just for a moment of fun. The school’s homepage also features a scrolling banner (marquee) providing immediate contact information for help should you encounter any gender-related incidents.
An extra ounce of vigilance brings a ton of safety. Wishing everyone a safe, self-disciplined, and fulfilling summer vacation!
