Important Notices for Lost and Found
.Items Found on Campus: If you find a lost item on campus, please deliver it to the Campus Security Office (B105). Administrative staff will inspect the item and post periodic announcements on the school department’s website for public inquiry.
.Cash Found off Campus: For any cash found outside the school premises, please take it directly to the nearest police station. Do not deliver it to the school.
.Valuables or Large Amounts of Cash: If you find valuable items or a significant amount of cash, please deliver them directly to the nearest police station rather than the school.
.Claim Period: Lost items will be held for claim for one month from the date of announcement. If unclaimed after one month, items will be handled according to the school’s “Lost and Found Management Guidelines.”
.Limitation of Liability: The school provides categorized management for lost property but assumes no liability for damages or compensation.
.Hygiene and Perishable Items: Items involving hygiene concerns or those that are perishable will be disposed of immediately by the school.
.Privacy Protection: To protect personal privacy, the school will not proactively disclose detailed information regarding the appearance or specific contents of lost items.
.Collection by Proxy: If an item is being claimed by a representative on behalf of the owner, the representative must present valid identification or a letter of authorization to collect the item.
.Legal Responsibility: Any person found making a fraudulent claim for an item shall bear full legal responsibility.
.Ethical Recommendation: As owners may return to the original site to look for their belongings, we suggest the practice of “leaving lost items where they are” (unless they are in danger) to increase the probability of the owner finding them.
