You thought you found “the one” online. The conversation is great, and you’ve finally set a date to meet. But suddenly, they make a request: “Go buy some game points at a convenience store and send me a photo of the code first—then we can meet!”

Stop right there. This isn’t romance; it’s a classic “Online Dating Scam.”

 Anti-Fraud Reminders:

Online dating scammers often use tactics like “paying for membership,” “buying points,” or “guaranteed investment returns” to trick people into sending money bit by bit.

  • Stay Alert: Never buy points or transfer money based on instructions from someone you’ve only met online.

  • Think Twice: If a “date” requires a digital transaction before showing up, it’s a scam.
